How long does a tan last and how to make it last longer without going patchy

- Moisturize your skin every day, especially after showering — the more hydrated it is, the slower and more even the shedding process.
- Avoid harsh exfoliating while your tan is on — if you need to exfoliate, do it very gently, or better yet, wait until it's completely faded.
- Lukewarm showers, not scalding — I know in the middle of August you want the opposite, but very hot water shortens your tan's lifespan.
